Girl with the Golden Eyes

Ixtab is the Mayan Goddess of Suicides and is typically depicted as a dead woman with a rope around her neck.

In certain case suicide was considered an admirable thing and Ixtab would guide these souls to paradise where they could rest under a tree free from want.

I drew alot of inspiration not only from Mayan culture but also Mexican. I like how death is something that is celebrated in a way in these cultures.

I looked up lots of chignons styles for her hair I mostly wanted to one of the braided ones and then a ran across with insane one with multipul ones on one head, it was amazing. Then I added several roses into cause not only do you see lots of women with flowers in their hair during festivals, but it also adds some nice framing.

I decided to wrap the noose rope around like a tattoo design add now I am seriously tempted to get this tattooed :3

I kinda wish her eye was more glowy but since it is such a small portion of this its ok.
